The Jubilee Hills Preschool program is offered for infants 3 months+ to 6 years old, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. This is five-day
a week program. The emphasis is placed on developing a healthy self-concept in each child and giving every child an opportunity
to develop learning skill commensurate with his or her ability.
Care
is provided before school from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and after school from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., This may be incorporated
into an all-day program, or used as before school care or after school care for children enrolled in the school.
The school offers daily exposure to Practical Life, Sensorial, Reading, Math, Geography, Science and Music. The activities
we offer children are age appropriate and geared to each child’s developmental ability.
Methods
and Activities
Jubilee
Hills Preschool’s methods of teaching are based on the great capacity and desire of very young children to explore their
world. At Jubilee Hills preschool, we use the child’s curiosity and excitement to help him or her discover the world,
learn to solve problems, and gain confidence, independence and pride. Our “prepared” environment lets the child
be involved and challenged by the things around him.
In
our classrooms and methods, everything is geared to the children’s needs. The children develop a community life through
their sense of ownership and pride. Along with socialization, they develop an awareness of and sensitivity to each other on
a daily basis. Our organized and stimulating classrooms posses an atmosphere of warmth and relaxation which invites a child’s
participation and self-development.

Hills preschool teachers are keen observers and are always alert to the subtle changes in a child’s progress or mood.
Our teacher’s role is not to criticize or interfere with a child’s work, but to properly guide him into the skills
that will help him develop.
Our goal is to provide the child with self-discipline and the love of learning. The activities we offer children are
age appropriate and geared to each child’s developmental ability.
Practical Life
This area includes a variety of engaging activities to help
children develop life skills, concentration, independence, and fine motor skills. Some skills practiced include pouring, spooning,
stringing beads, using scissors, polishing objects, etc.
Sensorial
This area has interesting materials that help children make
comparisons and form judgements about qualities such as size, color, smell, shape, and sound.
Language
This area has materials that help children learn to recognize
phonetic sounds, to match sounds with objects, to read and write simple words, and to read beginner books
Mathematics
This section includes materials to help children learn to
recognize and write numbers, to count objects, to match numbers with quantities, to order numbers to perform numerical operations,
and to learn about the decimal system.
Geography and Science
This space has materials that help children learn about
continents, cultures, maps, and land forms. Also, there are works such as magnets, animal classification cards, displayed
nature items, and hands-on science experiments.
Art and Music
Children are given many
opportunities to express themselves through art and music.
